The rainbow-bridge opened for Enouka. She died in my arms after her
very long fight against the cancer. It was forseeable but it's always
  sadly.

 16.12.2007
  We are back from
Oravska Lesna (Slovakia), our first
snow-trainingscamp. Hills, mountains and tough conditions
  coined the last eight days.

Trails up to 42km in a very mountainous ski-area predicated our
pictures, prepared the team for the next assignments.
Really impressive were young Yuna, Lina, Gipsy, Kasimir and Galileo,
  as well as Lalaby.
Always tough as expected Pauline and Caramba.

  08.12.2007

The cancer is growing in Enouka. She is getting pain during her
attacks. We have to prepare everything, her last days have begun.
But she had a good life, now almost 15 years old, she always was a
real sleddog, a good leader with plenty of kilometers under her paws.

  05.11.2007

The registrations for Femundlöpet, Finnmarkslöpet and Amundsenrace

are done.

Oravsky Long depends on snow-conditions and cold weather early
  december.

20.10.2007
  Race-schedule for 2007/2008 fnished.
Oravsky Long, Femundlöpet and Finnmarkslöpet are the main goals.
Perhaps Amundsenrace and Pasvik-Trail are on schedule.

19.10.2007
-5°C. Trails up to 24km. Only snow is missing.

  05.10.2007
Daily trail-work of 20 to 25km. The night is cold (6°C). The dogs are
happy. The season starts with a nice trainingscamp. Lonely did we ran
the trails. The first time ever we start with little hills.

  03.09.2007
Our dogtruck is ready build (new pictures here).
Active air-ventilation for the autumn, powerful air-heating for the winter,
3KW-generator for refrigerator, microwave, water-heater, and many
news were build over the last three month.
The dogs sense the fresh cold air ... so we train currently either 4'o
clock in the morning or 23pm in the night.
  The first trainingscamps are booked.

  01.09.2007
We're welcoming our new sponsor Hübner Dodgecenter.

  End of April 2007
I'm sitting inside, plus 25°C, remembering the last, short - but
  successfull - season.
The youngsters complied my expectations. Hope for the coming winter
to run the Femund the last time - I have to bring something to an end.
The new handler - Jana - arrived, so we have now Broncho with her.
Our plan for Canada is still growing and under very fast construction.

  06.02.2007  A sadly day.

My beloved and toughest leaddog Choice died after the lost fight
against bone-cancer. WHY always the best ones ?????
I never once saw her without a smile on her face. She will always be smiling. Whenever you were feeling down, there she was, always standing in front of you with that smiling face. Just looking at her would cheer you up. She had this fascinating glow about her that would make you feel warm and healthy deep within. And her eyes, just looking into her deep, brown forgiving eyes was like reading a book. You could imagine all of the thousands of places she had been and miles that she had traveled by dogsled. Her eyes made you think of one million bright sparkling lakes. Her fur was so soft and beautiful. You could tell she was proud of it, especially her tail, which she always held in a respectful way and loved having brushed. Whenever she shed, it reminded me of a fresh snowfall. But her spirit was the greatest of all. She never did anything unless it was to please someone. She was always so calm and peaceful unless she was hooked up to a dogsled and ready to run. Then she would cry in that deep bellowing howl that sounded like the wind blowing through a garden of trees. It was so beautiful to hear that no one could tell her to hush. She lived for dogsledding and was always so vibrant and cheerful when we were ready to go. You could see it in her beautiful, inquiring, perfect face. She loved everyone and acted as a grandmother to the litters of pups running around the yard. And every time I look into the sky I can see her delicate face looking down upon us, checking on us and making sure everything is all right. Sometimes, if you listen close enough, you can hear her whispering howl in the wind reminding us all of how happy she is. And I can feel her everywhere, feel her spirit running along beside me. She is free to do all the dogsleddong she loves. I remember whispering into her ear all the wonders she had done in this life. She truly fulfilled this life. I learned that we were all brought onto this earth for a good reason, and through Choice we learn these things. Death just means life renewed. Choice spirit will always remain, as with it, so will joy, love happiness and understanding. She is alive in all our hearts. So you see, her adventures have not ended, but just begun.
